Unspeakable Words Gets a 5 Diva review from Dark Divas

I was googling myself just now (yes, yes, I know, but we all do it, right?) and discovered this excellent review for Unspeakable Words by Lasha on Dark Divas.

She expresses hope there will be a sequel–she’s not the first person to have wondered that, and I can assure you, there will *definitely* be a sequel. Walk a Mile is the very next project I have lined up. 🙂

  1. I don’t blame you for Googling yourself! LOL. I would do that, too, if only my last name wasn’t the most popular Chinese name out there. I’ve seen a website run by a person who has the exact name as me.

And yay for five stars! Unspeakable Words really is a good book. Parker and Flynn are adorable together! I’m so happy to know that the sequel (first out of two, I hope?) is next on your list. You have to continue writing for a long, long time, Sarah – else I’d hunt you down and watch you type with a bayonet in my hands. LOL.

Also, may I ask a question? What is the approximate wordcount for Practice Makes Perfect? *grins*

    • The plan is for at least two sequels!

Hee! I had to laugh at the ‘watch you type’ part– I am just learning how to use voice recognition software! So now as I speak, my words magically appear on screen like Cmdr. Adama from Battlestar Galactica. Of course, I have to go back and convince the software that when I say, Adama, I do not mean Obama! 🙂

I can see there’s going to be a long learning curve here! I think in long run, it will be a huge benefit to me!

Oh, I hate to tell you, <1>Practice Makes Perfect, is a little on the short side. I don’t know the word count off the top of my head, but I think it’s about 120 pages long. It’s just a little bit of lightweight fluffy fun! The current work in progress, Can’t Take The Heat, is a novel with more serious overtones. Once I get that submitted, then my full attention will be dedicated to Walk A Mile, the first sequel to Unspeakable Words!

Work has been crazy recently. Normally I write a little every day, but I haven’t had the time. It’s making me nuts! Writing is the best part of everyday. 🙂

  2. Unspeakable Words was a cool story, it deserves excellent reviews. Aaaand a sequel or two, but luckily, you don’t need to be convinced of that 🙂

    • *grins* Definitely planned–in fact I should have started the first one long ago, but I got sidetracked with other projects.

I’m wallowing in the current WIP at the moment. I think it’s a decent story but it is moving slowly–most likely because the subject matter is a little too close to home. I’m seriously considering whether I should set it aside for now and start working on the UW sequel (Walk a Mile) instead!

I can’t decide if shelving the story that is being sticky is the mark of a savvy author or being defeatist. 🙂

However, the boys of Unspeakable Words have started drawing me in again, and I find myself plotting scenes with them as I drive to work–it’s only a matter of time before they start demanding I tell the next chapter of their story!
