Then the BF pointed out to me that many people may *identify* themselves with these terms, and that they didn’t see them as marginalization as much as part of their self-identity. It’s a complicated issue (but on the whole I agree with Matt Bomer. Maybe because he’s Matt Bomer!) 🙂
